We just came across this 4-part video series, made for PBS and funded and guided by the Albany Guardian Society, that explores the concepts of Universal Design, Aging in Place, and enabling environments. Each episode was produced for 30-minute TV programming, and takes you through the solutions and technique for designing an aesthetically pleasing, barrier-free home. It is very well done, and showcases many innovative design ideas and features that can be included in a stylish, as well as safe and accessible home.
If you or a loved one are currently facing a possible move from home because it is no longer safe and accessible, consider talking to us about how working with our team of Universal Design experts—including CAPS certified occupational therapists, architects, kitchen and bath designers, and of course our own experienced remodeling construction professionals—can help you create a lovely living environment that work FOR you and not against you.
